Section-wise Preparation Strategy for SEBI Grade A 2020 Exam
The Securities Exchange Board of India [SEBI] has extended its deadline to apply for the Grade A exam to 31st July 2020 on account of the Covid-19 pandemic. Further, the exam dates for Paper 1, Paper 2 and Interview will be released accordingly. Applicants must optimally utilise these extra few days to learn, brush up and develop the right SEBI Grade A strategy for the exam.

SEBI Grade A 2020: Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The SEBI Grade A 2020 exam recruits officers [assistant managers] in the branches of General, Legal, Information Technology, Engineering and Research & Official Language. It is a 3-stage exam comprising of a Prelims, Mains and Interview. A snapshot of the written exam pattern and syllabus has been given below.

Phase 1 [Prelims]: Question Paper 1 [100 marks/60 mins]
* All streams: MCQ on General Awareness [incl. Financial Awareness], English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Test of Reasoning

* General Stream: MCQ on subjects Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act and Economics

* Legal, Information Technology, Engineering Stream (Civil & Electrical), Official Language stream: MCQ on Specialized Knowledge of the specific stream

* Research Stream: MCQ on subjects Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance and Commerce

Phase 2 [Mains]: Question Paper 1 [100 marks/60 mins]
*All streams: English Descriptive type Test

* General Stream: MCQ on subjects Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act and Economics

* Legal, Information Technology, Engineering Stream (Civil & Electrical), Official Language stream: MCQ on Specialized Knowledge of the specific stream

* Research Stream: MCQ on subjects Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance and Commerce

Phase 3 Interview carries 15 percent weightage.


Note: There is a negative marking of 1/4 marks.
